My Halloween Finish

My Halloween Finish

Hope your all well and happily working away on wonderful projects.

Stitchersanon's mystery SAL is finished, I made mine into a hanger which took me most of the day, I completely forgot how to mitre bias binding, with lots of you tube video's later I sort of managed it, more practice needed I think. You might have guessed already but another passion of mine is digital scrapbooking.
Now what am I going to do on a Monday..  I Love to finish projects but hate it at the same time, I might be daft but I miss working on them.
Thanks so much for the wonderful SAL Stitchersanon, was really good fun and such a great design, its going to look great hung on my door on Halloween. xxx

Around the World in 80 Stitches

Well I finally finished Around the World in 80 Stitches, it was great fun and I have learned so many new stitches, although some of them took quite a bit of mastering.  Thanks Papillon Creations for such a wonderful Stitch A Long.   Phew!!

Will miss this each month.

Mystery Halloween SAL and a little black cat

Hi Everybody, hope you are all well and enjoying the summer. Here in Ireland its been very warm and sunny which is very unusual for us, we could get very used to this.

I have joined up for a new SAL called 'The Halloween Store'  I cant tell you much about it as its a mystery but the designer Stitchers Anon has given us two freebies to get us all excited, I have finished one of them which is a little black witches cat, Stitchers Anon is running a competition at the moment to name the little fella, who I have called Moggie after a cat we had many years ago.
If you would like to join in the SAL here's the link The Halloween Store which starts on 11th August.

The Pay It Forward Art-making Project for 2014

I found this whilst browsing on a friends blog and thought it a really great idea so please read below and comment if you would like to take part.  There are also a couple of finishes of mine, the first is Frosty Trees and the second is A Moira Blackburn design I got for my Birthday. xx

The Pay It Forward Art-making Project for 2014. I am so ready for fun and playing. These are the rules:
I promise to make a small work of art for the first five people who comment on this post and say “YES, I want in”. A ‘like’ alone is not enough of a commitment, nor is a comment about thinking Pay It Forward is a great idea. You must state that you want to take part.  You must in turn post this as your status update in your blog and make something for the first five who comment on your status. The rules are simple: – It has to be your work, made by you, and the recipient must receive it before 2014 ends. – It can be anything art-based: a drawing/illustration or a conceptual work of art, a photograph, a knitted item, cross-stitch, paper maché – or anything in between. I’m paying this forward thanks to Stitchers Anon
First five, GO!

PS. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t an artist, try something out, Google/ YouTube how to make stuff, step out of those boundaries.

Finally Caught Up

I was quite a few months behind on my Around the World in 80 Stitches SAL, life got in the way a little bit as it does.   The weather here is atrocious, doesn't stop with the wind and rain so I hermit-ed and spent a few days stitching, trying to figure out the different stitches.  Very happy bunny now that I am caught up.

Two new finishes for myself this time.

Well January is going a bit too fast dont you think.  I have finished a SAL and my DD bought me a chart I have had my eye on for quite a while for Christmas, Count your Blessings Etui by Victoria Sampler, I finished it a few days ago and so very pleased with myself.
The Sal 'Count Your Blessings' is designed by which I had a great time stitching.

I also have been model stitching for a new designer Stitchers Anon  if you want to pop over to her blog to have a look.  She is offering a free chart for a few days, so be quick, its a beauty so well worth a look.

Until next time keep warm and safe. xx
