Happy New year for 2014

I wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year for 2014 and hope its a much better year for us all than 2013.  I also have a few finished I wasnt able to show you until after Christmas, they were a few gifts I made for my parents.
The first is a bag I made for my Mum, I enlarged the scissor fob chart for the front of the bag, stitched 2 over 2 instead of the 1 over 1 in the chart, came out just the right size.  The bag was quite easy to make, much easier than I expected, well after figuring it out, I also made a little coin purse to go with it.

This is a tractor I made for my Dad, its a Stony Creek design and really was fun to stitch even though it was a tractor, loved using all those reds.

My Mum hates sewing but every girl has to have a pretty sewing box dont they and I think she likes it.  This one is a variation of the Victoria Sampler Winter Box.

This is a little tree hanger I made for my Dad

and a little dragon fro my Mum.  Cute isnt he.

Have a very Happy New Year everybody and hopefully lots and lots of crafty things and stitching.

Lots of stitching little to show and a wonderful find from the past.

Hi Everybody, hope you are all well and wrapped up nice and warm.  I have been stitching merrily away but cant show you too much as its either Christmas Pressys or Exchanges.  I love Christmas stitching but am only doing a few small things this year, things that take my eye rather than having to stitch this or that.
Will show you my little ornys when they have been received.
I have also been doing some model stitching for a wonderful new designer, if you want to see her designs head over to Stitchers Anon

I was looking through old photos and bits and pieces last week and found my little card which was made by my son at school when he was 5 years old (he is in his twenties now).  Its a little fish and a little yellow submarine, its was his first and last piece of stitching but isnt it great.  Will keep this forever..

My second thing I can show you is my November page for Needlework Masters SAL, I made the little ribbon rosette too.  ;-)

Thats it for now, hopefully my next post will be full of Christmas Goodies..

Free Givaway for all my followers.

If you follow my blog you will notice that I digital scrapbook my work, its a fun program called
My Memories Suite  I have used this program for a couple of years now and absolutely love playing around with all the different elements.
I was quite shocked the other day when the company offered to let me give away this program which usually retails for $39.99 for FREE to anybody that reads my blog, so if you want to try the program each and every one of you can download it for free.  All you need to do is go to My Memories Suite add the downloadable version to the cart and enter     FreeTreatOW30     (probably best to copy and past the code to get it exactly right) as the promo code and thats it, All you need to do is sign up for an account, you DONT need your Credit Card, well unless you want to purchase one of the fab kits.  As an extra bonus if you go to the Home page after your download the company have pages and pages of fab free kits to download.
I can assure you this is wonderful program so even if you have never Digital scrapbooked before give it a go.
This voucher will expire 15th October so get it while its free, its well worth it.
If you have any questions I will try to help. Ohh and this code is only valid for the downloadable version.

Mums Birthday xxx

Hope you are all well and happily stitching, its been a while since I posted, I think I got a bit fed up after looking all my photos, but time to move on.
It was my Son and Daughters Birthday this last month so I stitched up a few cards, also my Daughter shares her birthday with her Fiance and he has taken a liken to Tigers so stitched him a little one on his card, my Daughter is mad into her Marine aquarium so a Seahorse was appropriate.  I also made her a little sewing box as a pressy.
Its also My Mums birthday today so..

Happy Birthday Mum, we all miss you and hope you have a wonderful Day.
Mum and Dad, they are the best....

The sewing box I made for my DD, I tried to give it a marine theme.

My Son in Law to be's card
My sons card, he has started to play the guitar, and really well too.

Hopefully my DD's house will come though soon so thought this appropriate as they will be doing lots of DIY ;-)

Some finishes to show and a 3rd Tiger Stitched

Hi Everybody, hope you are all enjoying this sunny weather, I know we are here in Ireland, its quite a rarity so we are all making the most of it.
I have just finished stitching a 3rd Siberian Tiger Picture for my future Son in Law, he has admired the one I stitched for my Mum and the one I have on my wall for a long time now so I thought as, fingers crossed, they should be owning their first home shortly, I would stitch it as a moving in Pressy, it will be a while yet before they can finish the house and move in but it will be there waiting for when they do, he doesnt know about it yet so will be a surprise I hope.
I have also managed to get up to date with my two Sals, Hal Baby and 80 Sts and last but not least my May Page for http://needleworkmastersmonthlysal.blogspot.ie/
I will try and get my photos back up which I lost, see last post, but might take me a while yet as I can see any easy way of doing it.  Keep well and happy stitching. xxx

BAD BLOG DAY

I have just found out that all my pics from my blog have gone!!!.

I found out that its something to do with Google+ not that I have ever used Google+ but somehow back in time I was signed up.

I did however try to use Google Drive to do some backup but with our upload speeds, so very slow, it wasnt worth waiting days to back up a few photos, so I deleted them, I did see that a lot of my stitching was up there and wondered how on earth it got there so got rid of everything and tried different ways of backing up.

So having looked at my blog today I saw little greyed out, what look to me like no entry signs, and did a little research on the web and found out that when I used google drive and because I was signed up to Google+ it put all my photos there, but I knew nothing of this and when I deleted the drive I deleted all my photos from my blog.

You are now saying why didnt I back up my blog,  I did.....  and reloaded but guess what, no photos, they have gone from my blog for good.  :-(

I do have most of them still on my pc so will in time hopefully get them all back up when I get over the shock.  BAD DAY.

More finishes.

We have been so lucky here yesterday with the weather, so sunny, just hope that wasnt our summer this year..  I have finished a few things this month.  First was a kit called 'All Loved Up' my DD bought for me last Mothers Day, it was great fun to stitch with all the bright colours.

The second is something I stitched quite a few years ago and just this last week finished it into a cushion. So glad I found a use for it.  I also had a birthday stitchy treat from DH a Victoria Sampler Chart 'Linda's Ort Bag'  was a little tricky to finish, didnt read the instructions clearly, but I love how its turned out, its great to have sat there to collect all my ORT (Mum that means 'Old Ratty Tails, bits of thread)  I also got a cute little gadget to make little flowers out of scraps of fabric, its fantastic, they are so easy to make and quick too.
I have also stitch a little on my Mary Wigham and finished this months 80 sts SAL.
Hope you all have had plently stitching time.  xxx

Two finishes

Hi Everybody, hope you all had a wonderful Easter, it was very cold here in Ireland but my poor family had it much much worse in the UK, hope you have all thawed out over there now.

I have been stitching away this last month but only two finishes to show.  I managed to finished my March and April Page for Needlework Masters the first is a chart from 'Four Seasons Quaker Sampler’ designed by Stitches and Spice and the second is a cake I made for myself, as its my Birthday this week and was taken from 'Buttercream Frosting Sampler' by Primrose Needleworks.  I have also been working on a Maia design entitled 'All Loved Up'  I have only a small amount to do on this design and hopefully will get it finished very soon.

I was also very excited to win a giveaway The Musing Badger which I am very very pleased about, I won the chart and threads for a Tempting Tangles design 'Creation'.  I am so looking forward to start stitching that one and am hounding Mr Postie as we speak, although its a bit early yet to get here from the USA.  Ruth is also having another givaway on her blog for a gorgeous Rose Chart, so pop over for a chance to win.
Lastly I had to show you all that my 'Confetti of Hardanger' designed by Abi  made the cover of 'The Stitch Specialists group, very pleased I am too.

Keep warm everybody and stay safe, Spring is around the corner, hopefully. xxx

A couple of SAL's finished

Hope you are all well and being really creative.  I have just finished a couple of SAL's, will miss them both, hopefully there will be more along the way to join in with.  The first is 'Confetti of Hardanger' designed by Abi  and run through The Stitch Specialist. I still have it to finish but cant yet make up my mind.

The second SAL finish I showed you last time but since then decided to finish it as a little bag to hold my threads on projects I am working on.  Very happy with how it turned out.

I found this little chart in my stash and spent a couple of really enjoyable days stitching.
This next one is my February page for needleworkmastersmonthly SAL, each month we have to make a page with two different types of needlework or designers.
I saw this little hummingbird pic on a blog whilst browsing one day and throught it would look gorgeous on my bedroom wall, so happy found out it was a little TW designs freebie so had to get stitching.

My last stiching this month is 'Around the world in 80 Sts SAL'  its great working on this project each month.
and Finally I had to show you my little fella Timmy having a great time running around the garden in the sunshine, and let me tell you it doesnt shine too often here lately so we had a lovely afternoon.

Happy crafting everybody, keep warm and safe.  xxxx
