Siberian Gold Finally finished.

I have finally finished Siberian Gold, I got the kit from my DD for Mothers Day 2010 and started stitching it just about straight away, I wasn't stitching it full time but enjoyed every minute.  It was stitched on 16ct Aida and is fully stitched, not one missing, hopefully anyway.  There are 45746 stitches in the piece.
This is the second one of these I have made, the first was a gift for my Parents in 2006. Mum is crazy about Tigers so an Apt gift.
Its now framed and hung on the wall.

SAL's Starts

I have just kitted up and started two more SAL's.  (Stitch a Long)
My first is with the group Friendly Stitches.  Its a Quaker Sampler designed and stitched by Mary Wigham in 1790.  Well I am going to attempt to as I have chosen 46ct linen for this, definitely going to need my magnifier.  May have to change to a different linen, will have to see, although so far so good with much help from my magnifier.
The Second is a fantastic Chart designed by Abi Gurden entitled 'Tree of Stitches' I will Stitch A long with the group 'The Stitch Specialists' for this one.  I have chosen a hand dyed green mottled fabric to stitch this piece on.

Tree of Stitches

Mary Wigham

I started stitching this piece over a year ago, it was a gift from my DD for Mothers Day 2010, its entitled Siberian Gold and is very nearly finished, a few more days and it should be done.

Fingers on fire..

I have just finished making up this months Scissor Fob from 'The Gift of Stitching' Magazine.  This months fob is the third in the series and is entitled 'Pineapple', I have uploaded a photo for the front and the back of my fobs so far.  There are going to be 12 in the collection and all are designed by Cindy Valentine.

This is a card I made for a relation of ours who is 40 later this month, he has owned two Newfoundland dogs, MacKenzie who sadly died of old age last year and Spencer who is 10 months old so hopefully he will like this card.  The Newfoundland dog is stitched using Cross Stitch, I put a piece of wadding behind the stitching just as a trial really, its turned out really well, it gives a little more dimension to the card.
