A Final 2011 Finish, Two Exchanges and I am a Winner.

I have just finished my Jolly Little Santa, this is a Lorri Birmingham Design called 'Tis the Season'  I have to say he was the hardest thing I have ever stitched, not the design but the fabric, its a 32ct linen and a (In the words of Father Ted) very very very very dark blue, that just about destroyed my eyes.  I nearly gave him up quite a few times but am so glad I decided to carry on, I love him to bits, well it might be totally horrid but I cant now see properly ;-)

I received this gorgeous Christmas Tree from Helen for an
Exchange we were taking part in with the Emerald Isle Group
It is stitched 1 over 1 so hope Helen's eyes are back to normal.

These are my stunning squares from Renee with Fair and Square Exchange
You cant see from the photo but the Pear is outlined with memory thread, the effect is gorgeous
We were trying to make something to remind us of the season, Hasn't Renee done a wonderful job.

Lucky Lucky Me!!!  I won this little snowflake treasure stitched by Karen.
Karen held a giveaway on her blog
I was so very pleased it looks stunning on my tree.

Finally, I want to thank all my followers for making me feel I have friends all over the world and wish everybody a Wonderful Christmas and every one of you a Very Very Happy New Year.

Some finishes, some exchanges and a winning.

I have quite a few photos to show off this post, I have been busily stitching for My Brothers Engagement, some Christmas Exchanges and look at the lovely threads I received from Ruth
You may have noticed my new hobby, Digital Scrap booking, I love doing this with photos of my stitching.  I use My Memories software.  If you are interested in learning more about this program I have a link on the left hand side, if you decide you would like to give it a try please use the code STMMMS49241 for a discount.  Until next time Happy Stitching and Happy Scrapping.

I stitched this for my Brother and his Fiance, it was a lovely shock  finding out they have  got engaged,  this is a Victoria Sampler design and thought it apt for them.

I stitched this for an exchange we are doing with the Emerald Isle Group for Jenny, this is also a Victoria Sampler design.

I made this for Nancy for TGOSM Chrismas Exchange, and ohh again this is a Victoria Sampler design.

I received this gorgeous hanger back from Nancy isnt it wonderful, I also received a bag of Maple Syrup Sugar which smells lovely, I am so excited about trying this out.  I have had loads of help from the TGOSM group with ideas. Thank you so much Nancy.
This is the Christmas Exchange I received from Ally with the Friendly Stitchers Christmas Exchange,  isnt it cute, and what a wonderful card, thank you so much Ally.

These threads came in the post this morning, so very pleased.  I won these on  a blog Giveaway from Ruth.  Thanks so much Ruth I will put them to very good use.

And finally, I made these hangers for my tree this year.  These are from the new chart designed by Rosewood Manor called Christmas Blues.

This was an exchange I did with Friendly Stitchers, I took the chart from this months issue of TGOSM,

I made this into a Fridge Magnet to stop me going in there for little snacks.  Works too, well so far.

This was for Renee in round 27 with Fair and Square, I took this chart from a sampler in the TGOSM
This is a finish I made for Nina for the Stitch Specialists first birtday.

My Big Finish

This is a big finish, its still to frame but I wanted to show it off.  Its a Teresa Wentzler design called 'English Cottage Sampler'  You cant see from the photo but it is heavily beaded which shows off the design lovely.
Its taken me quite a few months to stitch but I loved every one of them.

If you like the scrapbooking program I use, see the side panel for a money off code, its a fantastic program to use.

I have three finishes I can show you today, I have stitched a few more but cant show you those yet as they are for exchanges.  I love using My Memories Software to show off my work, its great fun.  If you want this program see the left hand side bar, there is a code for money off too.
This cushion, which I am so very pleased how it turned out, is a design called 'Lady Winter' designed by  Isabella Abbiati of The Primitive Hare.

I made this Ort bag from a design by Kirsten the editor of TGOSM Magazine,  I love these little bags, they come in so handy to hold all those little pieces of thread you are finished with instead of messing up where you are working.
I stitched this card for Nina, unfortunately its out there somewhere in the postal system, hope it arrives very soon.

This is a needle book I made for Denise with the exchange organised by 'Friendly Stitchers'  She received it today, thankfully, its always a worry posting out things like this.  She says she is really pleased with it.

This third finish is for my Dad for his birthday, he hasn't seen it yet (Mum don't let him look until he has seen the original)  I just heard its arrived in the post so Happy Birthday on Thursday Dad, hope you like it.

Fair and Square exchange

I can finally show you my pieces for Fair and Square exchange for my partner Ruth. We had a disaster with these squares as the first lot I stitched were returned to me, so I posted them out again but they never arrived.  Ruth thinks they are sunning themselves being served on feet and wings somewhere, well they did go to Hollywood!  So the photos below are the replacements I stitched, these behaved themselves and flew straight to their new home.

So if anybody sees the bees below sunning themselves, tell them holiday is over and time to fly on home.

All dressed up.

A friend had these dolls and wanted me to re dress them to fit into her new bedroom colour scheme once she has had it decorated.  Took me a while but I came up with the dresses on the pics.  There are 4 dolls in total and each used the same two pieces of very pretty silk fabric, with a few little extra touches here and there.  This was a first for me so quite pleased on how they turned out, although it was a struggle at times to cover old dolls with old doll blemishes.
